East Riding of Yorkshire Council Proudly Supports Pride 2025

Pride 2025

Representatives from across our services, including fostering, recruitment, adult learning, and public health, will be attending this year’s Hull and Bridlington Pride events.

Members of our LGBTQ+ employee forum will also be in attendance. Eryc the bear hopes to make an appearance to show his support. We’re sure he will be happy to pose for photos—if you ask nicely.

Fostering and Adoption

Join our fostering family, and help to give local children the love and support they deserve.

Fostering is an amazing and rewarding journey that can turn a children's life around. It could even change yours too.

Adult Learning and Employability

Whether you want to gain a qualification, develop your skills or try something new, East Riding adult learning and employability is here to help you find the support you need.

There are plenty of flexible learning options to support you. We have Adult Learning centres in Beverley, Bridlington, Cottingham and Goole. Or, if you can’t attend one of our centres, we also offer online learning as well as pop-up opportunities across the East Riding.

LGBTQ+ Employee Forum

Our LGBTQ+ forum aims to provide staff with:

  • An increased awareness of LGBTQ+ needs and issues.
  • A platform to learn about the needs of LGBTQ+ customers and residents.
  • A space to support your health and wellbeing.
  • The opportunity to have your say, attend social events and listen to guest speakers.
  • A way for non-LGBTQ+ staff who would like to know how they can better support family members, colleagues, and customers.
  • Ways to learn more about championing our diverse and inclusive culture by being an LGBTQ+ ally.
